The Beginning
I sit with my head in hands
not keeping Your commands.
Lost in the halls of my mind
afraid of the things I might find.
Please tell me, Father, which way
in all I might do and might say.
Am I pleasing to Your ears,
For You've quieted my fears?
All the things that I am that I am.
I'm giving into Your great hand.
You can mold me and make me,
of these bad habits break me.
I know you can hear what I say;
you're always near when I pray.
You're always inside my heart.
Wherever I go, there Thou art.
Let me show those I meet how I feel
let me tell them that it's real.
Please let people around me see
how really proud You are of me.
Now in my life's the “Great Guide”
Sweeping all my troubles aside.
Wanton desire's no more.
I've knocked, He's opened the door.
Now I say to you, my friend,
He'll put your life on the mend.
He'll help you change your life fast
and all you do, is just ask.
