A good man walks in unity,
That God shines on his dignity;
And in sleeping through the next dawn,
God blesses his children when gone.
A king who sits upon his throne,
Is making judgments of his own;
He scatters evil with his eyes,
With wisdom from God makes him wise.
Who can say I made my heart pure,
No longer tempted by a lure;
And being cleansed of all my sin,
No more raging as I had been.
Even a child will have known,
Mistakes he has done on his own;
As well as deeds are pure and right,
Or were done in the dark of night.
The eyes that see and ears that hear,
Can show you if the Lord you fear;
As well as how gentle and kind,
You are in both your heart and mind.
A value of weights and measures,
In double standards for treasures;
When someone is trying to hoard,
Very disgusting to the Lord.
Never be of loving your sleep,
Or present energy will leap;
Keep eyes open to be sure,
Or you might end up being poor.
