Any time that a son would sin,
Then the father must discipline;
To grasp discipline and wisdom,
Think of the heavenly kingdom.
You must understand a deep thought,
About the things that you have sought;
Always remember your Savior,
To discipline wise behavior.
It is righteous just and fair,
On insight with others you share;
Open minds to naïve people,
Especially on the Gospel.
In giving knowledge and foresight,
Is very much as a delight;
God showing favor in His eyes,
As you help others become wise.
So no matter which way you turn,
Others listen as they will learn;
And understanding one will gain,
Would never be finished in vain.
To understand wisdom and wit,
Your mind then must also see fit;
From the words and the clever puns,
Which tease meanings that it opens.
The fear of the Lord is the start,
Of knowledge that enters the heart;
Those stubborn fools only reject,
And becoming wise for neglect.
