- While the trees sleep

I want to feel appreciated
Yet I have forgotten
what
it is like to be loved
And I am sure
that
you understand
What it is like
feeling unloved
And being broken
heart-ed
and so torn inside
Because it is something that
you
have personally experienced
Just as I had
Yet being loved again is something
that I have truly wanted and needed
Along with being
cuddled and snuggled
And passionately kissed and desired
while I am laying down
next to someone special in my bed
That can be trusted
and deeply respected
Because it is something
that I have deeply missed
But I will have to wait
on the good Lord
before I can get married
And now that my heart
has been healed
until then I will rely
on his promised word
Just as you should
Because all of our
prayers
will be answered
Because none of
our prayers
will go unheard
