I am about to lose someone very
dear and it is only a small matter
of time
when he will no longer be here
but he sure has stood beside me
through so many difficult times
And he has made me laugh
with
a joy that I cannot explain
And he was always
there
to lick up my tears
When ever I was hurting
Because he has
loved
me unconditionally
throughout the years
And I look back now on everything
and I remember the long trip I had
to take just so that I could adopt
him, and his story is a unique one
Because he survived through a
house fire
that burned down to the ground
And the first time I had ever set my
eyes on him I knew that he
would give me all of the love
that I had not gotten from anyone
And that's why I was so
elated
that I had chosen him
Because he became my loyal companion
but he
was also my very best four legged friend
And I am really going to miss him when he is gone
but one thing is for certain he will never be forgotten
For as long as I am alive and still breathing
And once he is gone may angels always guard
over him
until it is our turn to reunite in heaven
