Deep in the heart of Texas

Texas is full of Texas style Cadillac's
which are full sized pick-up
trucks for those of you who may not know
But it is also famous for its saloons
and bars and grills
and even a few famous movie stars
And some really great musicians
And if you are craving
a little dust in your eyes
Like the old cowboys did back in the day
Take a scenic train ride that will
drop you
off real close to the stock yards
Because that's the place to go where you can
be welcomed to the rodeos
that are filled with long horn steers and horses and other
critters and some cowboys and cowgirls and even a few
rodeo clowns that can be seen almost everywhere
If you can just open up your eyes
without getting to much dust in them
But if that's not your thing you can always go to the AT&T stadium
because the cowboys are getting ready to start a new football season
and
believe you me they are capable of stirring up plenty of dirt and dust
And after your done watching the
game if
your not quite ready to slow down
You can go right down the road to Billy Bobs
so that you can
enjoy listening to some live country tunes
And while your having fun and drinking some
long neck beers you
can also boot scoot and boogie all night long
And if your lucky and you come
on just the right night you
just might catch Willie Nelson
playing his old style country tunes
But Texas is also famous for the blues with the likes of people
like
Stevie Ray Vaughn who is long gone now but never forgotten
Because he is and always will be a big part of Texas
and his music still lives
on today just as much as it did way back in the day
But before I end this story I want to remind
everybody that most Texans
are mighty friendly people and they will even
wave at you when you are driving by, just try
to wave back at them every now and then
to show some common respect and courtesy
"I have lived here for most of my adult life and I cant say that I
have ever gotten bored, and I don't live that far away from the
country but I am
not that close to the city either but I am somewhere in between"
