In Loving memory of my Mother
Nancy Halene Rider
September to me is now in my heart
For this is the month me and my mother had to part
Sickness of long that sorrow now holds
Her pain with each breath made time for her slow
And loneliness awakened her tired soul
Heaven's gate opened up wide for their went my mother
As she lay sleeping in bed
As she always wished she would and said
Close your eyes mother just one last time
As you fallow Jesus from behind
I shall not fight it or reason it with why
Just feel in my heart you're not dead but alive
Living forever with god and his love
Waiting for the day my turn will come round
And then as I sing to you your favorite sound
Mother I'm home hold me now and never let me go
For our time of sorrow will be gone this I know
So save me a place were ever you find yours and have made
Because my mother I will be with you again one day
