My Sweet Lady

I wish that I had someone
to hold me because
it would be appreciated
And something that I have
wanted and really needed
that I would never take for
granted
because I would feel loved
And I would always enjoy
the conversations that we
had or even the silence
with words not being said
Because it would be something
that is mutual
that we would truly understand
But at least I have friends like you
That can lift me up when I am sad
And that's why I am
humbled
and truly blessed
Because with friends like you I do feel wanted
and more importantly I truly feel
needed and above all else I do feel appreciated
And that does make
all the
difference in the world
