'' We Live To Deceive ''
Start to prepare an election is looming,
It's us the electorate politicians are grooming,
From deep recession the economy's now booming,
That I find hard to believe.
Food banks for the poor are growing fast,
Heating and eating are now in the past,
They'll promise you the Earth till the votes are cast,
Then your pockets they will relieve.
Youth unemployment is at an all time high,
Poverty they'll tell you doesn't apply
Politicians are masters of the blatant lie,
It's a web of untruths they weave.
Will a massive pay rise bring them to their senses?
No they still want to maintain their expenses,
They need some brass to shore up their defences,
They treat us as if we're naοve.
Zero hours contracts are now the norm,
Unemployment figures the government deform,
Our politicians lies are so true to form,
Notoriety is what they achieve.
They've been doing us rotten for hundreds of years,
Their gross incompetence would drive you to tears,
We know when elected they'll confirm our worst fears,
Past wealth we will never retrieve.
Regardless of party they all act the same,
Not one of them know the true meaning of shame,
When they've made a mess someone else gets the blame,
The electorate are the ones left to grieve.
The honest politician just does not exist,
They are full of poison like a pus filled cyst,
If they all died tomorrow none would be missed,
A rich future is what they perceive.
For all their constituents they pretend that they care,
Of life in the slow lane they are not aware,
While they live it up we are left in despair,
The politicians' motto is,
' We Live To Deceive '
