Your Word is a lamp for my feet,
And a guiding light for my path;
Showing me how I can defeat,
Satan and his continued wrath.
I took an oath and will keep it,
An oath to follow all the laws;
Knowing what I will inherit,
Finally clear of all my flaws.
Your laws are based on righteousness,
To live life with purpose and joy;
Showering me with blessedness,
Each waking moment I employ.
O Lord I have suffered so much,
With the toils and all the strife;
But in feeling Your gentle touch,
Has been giving me a new life.
Please accept my praise that I give,
Thanking You for forgiveness of sin;
So in this life that I can live,
Renewed with a clean heart within.
I take my life into my hands,
But remember what I have been taught;
As my soul obeys Your commands,
In all that I needed to sought.
Evil people has set traps for me,
They try to catch me with a snare;
But the Lord gave wisdom to see,
Making me completely aware.
Your commands are mine forever,
They are the pure joy of my heart;
And no one can ever sever,
Causing me to stray and depart.
