I never thought it could be so bad
when I
watched my mother as she cried
Because I discovered that it happened
to be the day that my father had died
As I go over it all in my head
with
so many years that have passed
I can say that my father
is still deeply missed
But at least I can look back on everything now
and I
realize that I was deeply and honestly blessed
To have so many seeds planted into my head that
were filled with
positivity all the way up until the very end
I did my best to comfort
my mother
after my father had died
And I set my own feelings aside
But it was the first time and the last time that
day
that I had ever seen my mother as she cried
But she did show me strength and courage
far more than I had ever imagined
all the way up until the day that she died
