A godly life brings huge profits,
God rewards you for your merits;
If content with all that you own,
In your house sitting on your throne.
We did not bring anything here,
Although we do hold some things dear;
So there is far from it no doubt,
We cannot take anything out.
As long as we have clothes and food,
We should have a good attitude;
And as long as we do abide,
A nice house the Lord will provide.
But those who want to get rich quick,
Really makes the Lord feel so sick;
They just fall into temptation,
No regard to implication.
They are trapped by their desires,
Overlooked what it requires;
Which drowns in ruin to destroy,
While playing with their new toy.
The love of money is the root,
Of all kinds of evil to boot;
Some may think that it is relief,
But it can cause a lot of grief.
Some who have been setting their hearts,
Hook the horses behind the carts;
So it just causes them to stray,
From Christian faith wander away.
The Lord can cause growth of your wealth,
If you have good spiritual health;
As long as your ventures are wise,
He will shine blessings through His eyes.
