This Optimism
the green buds poised
singularly
synchronized
in
their
hanging
down
the grey sky poised
mindfully
galvanized
to
the
varying
pitch
of steady rain's
falling
sound
in the distance
a poke of blue
in the frame of
my window
a western jay
hopping two-footed
attempting
to match
this
optimism.
