Do not follow them in their way,
They just want to lead you astray;
Do not set foot upon their path,
God will not spare you from His wrath.
They are rushing to do evil,
The wicked ways of the devil;
Their desire is to shed blood,
Massive amounts to cause a flood.
But these people will set a snare,
Catching something next to the lair;
An ambush for their own murder,
Thinking of just a sheepherder.
It does no good to spread a net,
And then catch something you regret;
But within the sight of a bird,
All the noise might startle the herd.
The go in hiding just to lose,
Their lives after the path they choose;
It happens when you desire,
Letting greed to light the fire.
When you have greed for unjust gain,
Then you will feel the stabbing pain;
The greed will take away your life,
As pain endures toil and strife.
Wisdom sings her song in the streets,
Puts a smile on those she meets;
In the public square hear her voice,
Calling out to all to rejoice.
