 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Wash yourselves and become clean,
Your evil deeds out of sight;
Be kind now no longer mean,
Purify enter the light.

Start learning how to do good,
Justice against oppressors;
Pleading the case as you should,
Confessions from transgressors.

Come now and then I can show,
Though your sins are brightly red;
They can be as white as snow,
Christ can nourish to be fed.

Though the sins are a deep red,
They can be as white as wool;
Drink the blood that Christ has bled,
And learn not to be a fool.

If willing and you obey,
Then eat the best of the land;
Because you are like soft clay,
That God will mold in His hand.

If you refuse and rebel,
You will be killed by the sword;
God did warn since He did tell,
To feel the wrath of the Lord.

How faithful is a harlot,
That at one time was this town;
Prospering as a starlet,
Impoverish with a frown.

She had been full of justice,
Righteousness living in her;
As her wisdom was priceless,
So wise as the elders were.

But all of that has been gone,
Your silver no longer pure;
A new age and day does dawn,
For the elders locked the door.
