Every now and then my heart
wanders off
to a different place in time
And old emotions
and feelings
begin to awaken
To the memories that had remained
dormant
within my mind for the longest time
Only to resurface once again
Allowing me to remember
What it was like to feel loved
and wanted and needed
and respected and appreciated
And more importantly how much
I have missed you
more than I could ever explain
And there are certain times
when I call out your name
And it is usually when I am in
a deep sleep and I
find myself dreaming about you
Because we had that unique bond
and a very special connection
That window doesn't
open that often
but when it does
I am reminded at just how much I had loved you
And for as long as I live that will never change
That's why I haven't been
able to love anyone again
But honestly I haven't really tried
Because you were the
best
that had ever been
And for that I thank you
for all the
magical moments together
From the very beginning
up until the very end
Because the kind of love that we
had
can only happen once in lifetime
