May as well have said, won`t, can`t, shan`t, The first was said to show good intentions
The truth really is you have no intentions.
`It`s the thought that counts` will not do
It won`t do the job promised by you,
Your empty words give people hope
But will you deliver - the answer is nope.
What you won`t do don`t ask others to do
Don't lead them on with promises from you,
You ask of them and they come thru` for you
People can now see what you say is untrue.
But your empty gestures will rue the day
`It just won`t cut the mustard` as they say,
Don`t take if you`re not prepared to give
A good moral code is by what you should live.
People can see you for what you really are,
A taker and not a giver by far,
Take time to fulfil the promises you make
Don`t lead people on for heaven's sake.
