You said you would love me all the time

And I believed you and I reminded you

That I would love you until the end of time

But something happened

somewhere along the way

And you left me behind

And you never returned

And I tried to understand

Yet I felt so neglected

When you didn't even take into consideration
how
I had felt when you were gone all the time

That was why it was so
difficult
for me to even comprehend

Because it had left me feeling so
broken
hear-ted and unwanted and unneeded

Because I lost you and I
lost my forever and a day

But I think the hardest part was accepting that I
would never touch you or even hold you ever again
to be able to feel your heart beating next to mine

Because I loved you more than I had ever loved anyone

You said you would love me all the time

And I believed you and I reminded you

That I would love you until the end of time
