Oh how I love His laws,
All of which it has taught;
It keeps me from the flaws,
And iniquities sought.
They are my very thoughts,
As I go through each day;
And helps me through onslaughts,
So I trust and obey.
Commandments make me wise,
With wisdom for insight;
As they open my eyes,
Able to see the light.
I see more than my foes,
His commandments within;
Because as His love flows,
Exposes all their sin.
My insight is now more,
Than any known teacher;
It opened the right door,
To be a new creature.
He wrote them in my mind,
Transcribed into my heart;
Making goodness I find,
Repeat as I impart.
My wisdom for many years,
Has built much more than those;
Who has had many fears,
After the life they chose.
Because I have obeyed,
His guiding principles;
And I have never strayed,
As taught in the temples.
His promises so sweet,
Sweeter than wine it tastes;
Feels better on my feet,
Stronger than any pastes.
