Your teachings are miraculous,
Wonderful and so fabulous;
That is why I always obey,
Throughout each and every day.
Your Word is a door for the light,
Helping me to see what is right;
The gullible will understand,
So much better of each command.
My mouth opens pant like a dog,
Then I drool and sleep as a log;
But I wake up with such a yearn,
For Your commandments I can learn.
Turn towards me and have compassion,
Molding me into Your fashion;
As you pledged to do so for those,
Who love Your name and blessing flows.
As promised make my steps secure,
On the steps and in through the door;
Do not let sin stay in control,
Block it from entering my soul.
Save me from human oppression,
And tempted by an obsession;
So I may obey Your precepts,
And follow Your godly concepts.
Smile on me with Your favor,
I ask You to be my Savior;
Make me righteous through all Your laws,
Never tempted and getting flaws.
Make Your face shine down upon me,
With Your favor so I can see;
As You teach me all Your decrees,
To be able to better please.
Streams of tears flowing from my eyes,
For You are all knowing and wise;
Others do not follow what You taught,
And strayed away for things they sought.
