A good name is better,
Than having a great wealth;
Not a sinful debtor,
But good spiritual health.
Respect is more proper,
Than your silver and gold;
As well as with copper,
Or arrogant and bold.
For both the rich and poor,
Do have this in common;
Of the Lord they are sure,
Creator of all men.
People foresee trouble,
Are sensible but hide;
Those who are gullible,
Have suffered as they cried.
They are simple minded,
All that they see and hear;
Mostly they are blinded,
By the light of the fear.
As the fear of the Lord,
Having humility;
Honor not be ignored,
Through your ability.
There are some traps and thorns,
If you are devious;
And as he scoffs and scorns,
For being envious.
You should train your child,
Of the things he should know;
As tender and mild,
In the way he should go.
Even when he is old,
He will not turn away;
And start being so bold,
That would cause him to stray.
