I am writing a series of poems about my life and the current
happings in the world at the time It may be confusing if you
have not read the prior poem. My tour had ended and I was not
going to reenlist. I was rapidly losing weight could not hold
any thing on my stomach. Tests were negative. I was told
something was killing me. At best I had five years to live.
I had three girlfriend, Two were just pen pals but the third
I worked with for over a year. She was more serious.:

Please don't think this is vaniting
To know me is to love me
Senator Kennedy to seek presidency
Did you think I was talking about me?
French test first atomic bomb in Sahara
Soviet Union wins winter Olympics
Everybody loved John F Kennedy
Sorry Joe rumors even Marilyn
The lady who invented the raised skirt
100'000 Afghans hail Khrushchev on tour
Kennedy beats Humphrey in Wisconsin
I related to Humphrey I couldn't afford new shoes either
OK, ready for the sad story
I really cared allot about Veronica
But I knew this lovely young girl would stay
With me in sickness and health
I only hurt her for a brief time
The other two girls when they got recipient deceased letters
Only tried to get even one sent me a wedding announcement
Actually two years later printed do not attend
The second girl a beauty circled around me showing what
I had missed, both thought I was trying to dump them
Who has the best IQ? Could be dolphins?
Guys would come and flirt with Veronica
I would stand back and think she is so beautiful
And she would say, "Sorry I already have a boyfriend?"
It wasn't until the box of goodies came to me in Korea
In the box saying, "Where you just going to leave me?"
I left Korea a shadow of the man I had been
As soon as I arrived home Mom said you are getting a second opinion
But I had already sent the unopened letter
Veronica took the first flight to Seattle a taxi took her
to our front yard and she watched as my sister hugged me
In Veronica's letter to Mom she said, "He could have
told me he had a girlfriend. This hurt far worse I love your son.
When I found out what was killing me was food allergies
I tried to write Veronica it was Karma, "Returned to Sender!"
Castro nationalized all American property
Hamburg, West Germany: Beatles give first public performance
In a striptease bar. In her letter to Mom she said I was evil.
If it had been a health issue she would have stayed with me
Maybe it was karma my next girlfriend in college dumped me
when she had a chance to date a current Rock and Roll singer
