We know that if the life we live,
On earth is ever taken down;
God who is just would then forgive,
If we confess and not to drown.
An eternal house in Heaven,
That is not made by human hands;
That the Father will have given,
On a solid rock where it stands.
Our present home does exist,
We sigh longing for a new place;
Though the tribulations persist,
God shines favor sends down His grace.
We are for now naked and bare,
But in Heaven naked no more;
For an eternal life we share,
Clothed in a spiritual decor.
We feel distressed for not knowing,
How to remove what we wear;
For if we do we could be glowing,
From the glory for as we share.
But eternal existence will,
Put an end to the mortal side;
That we tried so hard to instill,
Our fleshy shells to abide.
The Lord has already prepared,
And has given us His Spirit;
Because of how much He has cared,
Through all of which we inherit.
We know with living in this shell,
We are divided from the Lord;
For this fleshy body we dwell,
Can never be in one accord.
Whether we live within this thing,
Or have been finally moved out;
Think of hope the future will bring,
Stop shedding any kind of doubt.
