I ask of spiritual leaders,
As I am making this appeal;
To be exceptional readers,
Along with your spiritual zeal.
Those who saw a suffering Christ,
Share in glory as is revealed;
Of having to be sacrificed,
Things from the past that had been sealed.
So be shepherds over the flock,
For the Lord has entrusted you;
And going in prayer that you talk,
With remaining faithful and true.
As the Lord does watch over them,
Do not do this because that you must;
Neither be scolding to condemn,
Rather in the Lord that you trust.
Watch over as a desire,
Not doing it because of greed;
There are blessings you acquire,
That in life will help you succeed.
Be no tyrant as a ruler,
But an example to your flock;
Be gentle and kind not crueler,
Showing compassion as you talk.
So when the chief shepherd appears,
You will receive your glory crown;
And you will not have any fears,
Cause you to be wearing a frown.
Be humbled by the might of God,
At the right time He honors you;
Giving thanks through honor and laud,
Being one of the chosen few.
Keep your mind on alert and clear,
For Satan stalks you as His pray;
He will devour as time draws near,
At the moment you go astray.
