'' It's All Down To Interpretation ''
What makes you happy can cause offence,
You can be left feeling totally dense,
Think long and hard before you commence,
Words can cause such consternation.
What you perceive as happy can make others sad,
Oral or written you can drive others mad,
We have differing opinions on what makes us glad,
That's why we need self arbitration.
As for rules we have different teachers,
We truly are such delicate creatures,
Sensitivity being one of our features,
Everything requires an explanation.
Different languages can cause major disputes,
What one says the other refutes,
Let's go to war say the men in suits,
That is our declaration.
It could be down to a fact that's misread,
Or it could be because of something that's said,
But billions of people now lie dead,
Now that's bad communication.
Think hard before you talk or write,
Make sure your objectives stay in sight,
Your aim is to try and avoid a fight,
Though some revel in extreme provocation.
We as a species are so easily riled,
What's said or written can drive some wild,
Be careful how your words are styled,
They require sensitive calibration.
Some they just love to get annoyed,
It's impossible to get everyone overjoyed
Upsetting someone you will never avoid,
Make harmony your main aspiration.
