Poetic-Verses

'' Do You Know Who I Am ''

When caught in the act,
It's a known fact,
We'll say you've made a mistake,
With the devil we will make a pact,
Yes we'll beg him to give us a break.

The law we ignore,
It is such a bore,
Rich and famous we don't have the need,
Yes we're rotten to the core,
Our lives are obsessed with greed.

Bankrupt one day,
Tomorrow more pay,
Our creditors left screaming for cash,
Our lives no longer in disarray,
To the luxury sales I must dash.

The police step back,
It's substance they lack,
From us celebrities they do run scared,
Their very integrity is under attack,
For a grilling they are unprepared.

Our loophole lawyers,
Prosecution destroyers,
We don't care a hoot about the cost,
After all we're their main employers,
Without us they would be lost.

You may think it wrong,
But fame makes you strong,
But to us it does make sense,
Losing contact with reality doesn't take long,
You'll laugh when you hear our defence.

The celebrity walks,
Because money talks,
Everyone becomes overawed,
We've no time to be standing in docks,
Yes we've the power of God.

There are many factors,
We have our detractors,
Our arrogance though does leave you raw,
The fact is we are two bit singers and actors,
But we believe we're above the law.

When committing a crime,
Which we do all the time,
For arresting officers we don't give a damn,
Even when you think we've a mountain to climb,
Our way out,

‘' Do You Know Who I Am ‘'
