 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

A gentle answer turns from rage,
For peaceful talk to set the stage;
But anger stirs with a harsh word,
Burning the ears when it is heard.

The tongue of the wise shows courage,
With good expression to knowledge;
But mouths of fools have iniquity,
As they pour out stupidity.

The eyes of the Lord are anywhere,
Regardless being here or there;
They watch both the evil and good,
Blessing those doing as they should.

A soft tongue is a tree of life,
That will sooth in the midst of strife;
A two-faced tongue breaks the spirit,
From the goodness that you merit.

A stubborn fool that does despise,
Discipline from his father lies;
When he states that he has no shame,
On foolish things he does proclaim.

Great treasure is within the house,
When it is tidy by a spouse;
But pain comes from a messy place,
If the wife has a dirty face.

The lips of the wise spread wisdom,
Heard from the heavenly kingdom;
But with the foolish attitude,
Satan causes them to be rude.

A sacrifice brought by evil,
Brings out the joy in the devil;
It is disgusting to the Lord,
When His commandments are ignored.

Discipline is an awful load,
Just like where flooded waters flowed;
To someone who leaves the right path,
For they shall die meeting His wrath.
