'' Was Written By Us ''
The most intelligent creature,
Yet our arrogance persists
Ignorance our main feature,
Destroying all that exists.
Without all other life,
We cannot survive,
Yet we cause them such strife,
It's their death we contrive.
When they disappear,
Very soon we will find,
Our future is clear,
To that we are blind.
While we live for now,
Our children face death,
They will die and how,
As they take that last breath.
Of this very fact,
We are fully aware,
By refusing to act,
We're showing we don't care.
Unless we take heed,
Their lives will be grim,
Our planet will bleed,
They'll be out in a limb.
Being portrayed as caring,
Brings on a sigh,
It's death we are sharing,
We are living a lie.
To continue living,
We must open our eyes,
Nature's so unforgiving,
She's witnessing our demise.
Humility is vital,
We must make a fuss,
That intelligence title,
