A girl once had the choice
To kill or to be killed.
Her mind was a puzzle,
Her heart was a game.
Her eyes held
A deep sorrow inside
Her dark irises.
Her hand shook as she picked up
The small cold pistol.
She aimed it towards the shaking girl
In front of her.
She pulled the trigger
And watched sadly as the glass scrapped
The frown on her face.
The mirror was now broken
And the girl inside was killed.
Her hand shook as she pointed
The trigger once again.
Her eyes were closed tightly,
And her fingers burned against the handle.
She pulled the trigger.
A girl once had the choice
To kill or to be killed.
Her heart was too kind to
Give Death another soul.
So she gave him hers.
A girl once chose wisely
But her sacrifice was not enough
To change the world.
