Curls hanging round his face
My bonnie handsome laddie
Looked so much like Mummy
And just a bit like daddy
Learned his lessons oh so well
When he had started school
Way ahead of all the rest
Yet somehow he stayed cool
Now he`s grown and going away
To start a brand new life
At a university
One day he`1l find a wife
This laddie has a heart of gold
Would help someone in need
In any way that he could do
A loving heart indeed
My laddie I must wish you well
In every thing you do
And I want you son to know
I`m very proud of you
Do not forget as years go by
To save within your heart
All the things you do while young
And you will never part
With all that you have lived today
And each day ever after
Memories will bring you tears
But mostly bring you laughter
Time is such a funny thing
It just goes round and round
But if you put it in your pocket
It stays there I`ve found
