Was it the stamper of my junior feet
The wrong crack in the sidewalk that I had stepped on
Or the likes of another, it being out of my hands
Was it the pounding rain upon the verdant grass
In the midst of a dun evening
Perhaps a man was wrongfully accused of murder
Or,
had it been that the particular molecule in the genesis of Earth
was not so off-put to the left
Perchance some events may have not transpired
It is also quite possible that my
In the stately Stork's swaddling sheet
May have never ensued from my parent's love
For one another.
