lost and then found

I Don't Know Why

I don't know why I write
But sometimes it passes time and words take flight
I don't know why I press the keys
But every word comes out to some certainty
I feel you on my back the load is so dam heavy
I don't know why I see you smile and my presence melts away
But every word comes out to some degree
And hopeless I will sing or whistle for me
I don't know why I share my thoughts
It takes the wisdom or the ignorance in life to pay the cost
I don't know why I dream
The fear that losing you could trouble me enough to win
I don't know why I care
But every time I stare into thoughs eyes I'm taken there
I do not want to leave
But some times I must let my mind breath
The winters almost gone
Springtime reaches out and newborn children sing there song
I don't know why I see but my eyes are young enough that they will bleed
I reach out to your heart and broken thoughts that enter in
Don't forget this I wont let this weird thing lay
I don't know why I write
But some times the words take flight like the soaring of angels
I don't know why I press these keys
But every word comes out to some degree
And I feel you on my back the load is so dam heavy
