I would cradle you in my arms

Then kiss you a sweet goodnight

When you started to walk
You'd grip my fingers tight
You walked on tip toes
It was such a lovely sight

We holidayed at the seaside
Building sandcastles and paddling
You loved to ride the donkeys
Eat ice cream and candy floss

I walked you to school
There was no prouder father than I
On the way home from school
We would walk through the park
You loved to feed the ducks
You're always by my side
And that's exactly where you'll stay
