 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

I cried loudly unto the Lord,
For opening His ears to hear;
I did not want to be ignored,
Knowing that He had to be near.

On that day, I was in trouble,
I went to the Lord for His aid;
And finding myself as humble,
But being a little afraid.

Yet my soul I could not comfort,
I sigh as I remember God;
As my hope begins to divert,
Because of having been so flawed.

I am thinking of Him so much,
Because He has opened my eyes;
While feeling His gentle touch,
Seeing through an evil disguise.

But I was not able to speak,
Which was making me so upset;
Because I was feeling so weak,
What I had desired to get.

I considered the days of old.
Back in time from years long ago;
Of stories my father had told,
On ways to look that God will show.

I remembered a song that night,
Reflect on things to discover;
Opportunities with insight,
That God answers and no other.

Will God reject me forever?
Or accept me the way I am;
I do not want Him to sever,
Rather a sacrificial lamb.

It just is making me feel sick,
That the power of the Most High;
No longer seems to be as quick,
And it just makes me wonder why.

But there are opportunities,
Meditate on the ways to look;
Confessing the impurities,
To be omitted from His Book.
