On easter morn, i met a man, on the freeway, off ramp standing on the road side with a rough card board sign, i could not even make out what it said or read
i could see he was an older gentleman, and wanted a hand out, he was alone, and in dire need

I thought to myself, on easter morn, he was all alone
i was waiting for the red light to turn green, then in a minute i wouldbe home

I drove by him fast and stopped at the redlight
i looked at him in my rear view mirror, and he was kicking at the dirt sitting at curbside, he was disturbed, discusted, frusterated, he didnt realize he was in my sight

I found a few quarters and dimes-- and nickel or two, and i had a white-- rosary, and i waved to him. To.  come my way
he ran to my window side, i held out my. Hand-- with the change and rosary, placed it into his hand, then he slowly walked away

The light was already green
but i watched him, from my rearview mirror, he wasnt so impressed with the mere change, but he  held the rosary, and i felt him pray,im thinking right now, as it was a beautiful scene

On easter morn i met a man, gave him some change at the road side
gave him some small-change, and a small, rosary, and i saw him hold the rosary, on easter morn, wirh pride

So before you drive by another, and just look away
just think maybe you can enlighten, brighten, , inspire, another, in any which way
