‘' Each Generation Has Its Troubles To Seek ‘'

For those good old days,
The old fellow prays,
Things were much better back then,
More respect was given he proudly says,
I wish they were here again.

How did you feel?
Did nobody steal?
Is murder a crime that is new?
The truth did none of you ever conceal,
Was it innocence all the way through.

Did nobody lie,
Or the facts deny,
Were politicians all sweetness and light,
With the law did you all comply,
Was everyone filled with delight.

No criminality,
Was that reality,
Was it normal to have all that you wanted,
No one had ever heard of brutality,
Your world was forever undaunted.

Health care for all?
When you took that fall,
No slums or living in despair,
Everyone rich with a life to enthral,
No problems when you required care.

Did the men in suits?
Start no wars or disputes,
Are you claiming world peace was the norm?
How do you feel going back to your roots?
Where nothing ever required reform.

You are being protective,
As well as selective,
Every era will suffer critique,
To put this argument into perspective,
