 POETICAL ME

With Love, John

Though I have left what once I knew
I still draw strength as you should too
Of life I shared while I was there
Laughter and smiles my heart still wears

Each one of you, family and friends
Should know I'm well as time did lend
Each precious moment to be with you
To be husband and father too

Do not weep for me this day
Be of good cheer and not dismayed
For time allowed for me to be
A friend to you, endeared by me

And though it seems unfair and sad
That I would leave this way be glad
That where I am one day you too
Will see again, me John you knew

For John Broggi

Written for a coworker of mine who died
in his sons arms at the age of 55 of a heart attack
