It's a cold world that we in
This whole world is pretend
And morality is low
In this reality show
So many setbacks
And downfalls are plenty
Tryin to make a hundred pennies
Guzzlin bottles of Henny
Its so hard to pay the rent
When your pockets full of lent
Just got paid Friday night
And my money's half spent
I married the game with no cold feet
I'm feelin the strain tryin to maintain in these cold streets
You got pariahs, creeps, hoods and wiseguys
Kids dyin in the streets by bullets from drive-bys.
Stickup kids dead heads and dope fiends
Cats doin bids heads hopin they won't sing
A dude caught sellin weed wrong place & wrong time
And now he doin 20 years for a nonviolent crime
Can't turn on my TV without hearing some bad news
The government's still lyin tryin to play me for a fool
I stay on my grind just tryin to make a livin
But I'm spendin all my time tryin to fight racism
It happened again and I can't even be shocked
Another brother on my block's been shot by a cop
My cars repossessed so just last week
I had to break the law to get back on my feet
Who can u blame God if everybody's guilty?
I wanna live clean but got dreams of livin filthy
As you can see for certain it's a burden on my heavy heart
Seems to me that I was worthless from the very start
I can't explain who's to blame for all this pain that I'm feelin? I'm stuck in the game guess I'll remain as a villain, in this cold world...
