You received a gift from God,
That has been placed in your hands;
As you will honor and laud,
Compliant to His commands.
So I am reminding you,
To fan that gift into flames;
So many others will view,
Of what your belief proclaims.
You have no fearful spirit,
But one of power and love;
Good judgment you inherit,
Has been sent down from above.
Show no guilt to testify,
Telling others of the Lord;
And never try to deny,
To be ashamed or ignored.
Join me in the suffering,
For the sake of the Gospel;
Just like I am offering,
Proclaiming to the people.
God saved us to be holy,
Because of what He has done;
Since He sent His one and only,
Sacrificial of His Son.
All because of His own plan,
Kindness through mercy and grace;
To be able to save man,
That is living in this place.
God planned that Jesus would show,
That His love could be revealed;
So that all people would know,
The past has been now repealed.
Through Christ death has been destroyed,
Bringing us eternal life;
Although through life we deployed,
Going through toils and strife.
I have been made a teacher,
A herald for the Good News;
A poet and a preacher,
A messenger that pursues.
