'' Unless By Us They Are Backed ''

One day the plebs,
Decided to rebel,
They enjoyed being rebs,
They were lifted from Hell.

They stopped paying tax,
Just like their rich masters,
Deciding to relax,
Despite many disasters.

No more bowing at feet,
Or obeying their demands,
Equality with the elite,
Owning their own lands.

They then took control,
Over all they purveyed,
Took a pivotal role,
In what they surveyed.

The elite took offence,
They were left without hope,
The impact was immense,
They could no longer cope.

They refused to believe,
Without us they'd die,
There'd be no reprieve,
Contrition didn't apply.

They said you're uncouth,
We said what's all the fuss,
You must face the truth,
You're nothing without us.

Herein lies the essence,
Of a true simple fact,
The rich don't have a presence,

‘' Unless By Us They Are Backed ‘'
