How Each Death Changes The World

I suspect when I leave the earth
it won't be quietly
though I've wanted to leave it
quietly many times before

some deaths leave a ripple
some a sea, a deluge of feeling,
a seam ripped open and frayed

I like to think that some how
the entire world will be irrevocably changed
after I leave it

but then again
I think
no, I firmly believe
that with each death that happens,
the earth is somehow and forever
irrevocably changed
no matter how small that creature may be
we all deserve our measure of God's gratitude
for being created
for coming here and persevering for whatever time we did
for being who and what we are
an "acknowledging" that we were indeed here
left our small foot prints or slither

a moment of silence
filled with the love
of our true essence
is necessary
especially when so many of us
never got that in life

we all then
ought to receive it
in our death

a small brief
postscript
that was the smoke of each of us
which will eventually
join the clouds

I don't care if people understand this
exactly
Its my strong belief
if you have your own take on this
then good for you
I think then, you are capable of a sort of
"awesomeness" if there is truly such a word
