I Miss

I miss you Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
I miss hearing my name you'll never call.
I miss the way you treated me like a doll.
I miss the way you covered my shoulders with my shawl.
I miss the way you always walked not crawl.
I miss you standing so proud and tall.
I miss the way you thought big never small.
I miss meeting you in the hall.
I miss your daring gall.
I miss us having a ball.
I miss us shopping at the mall.
I miss you shouting out, "come on y'all."
I miss you most of all,
As I alone climb this steep wall.

ŠJune 21, 2017 Janet Irene Griffin

A tribute to my beloved husband this first day of Summer.
