If you had given people rest,
God would not have spoken today;
About how you should do your best,
In learning how never to stray.
So you have a time for worship,
As well as a time to have rest;
A time for to sleep and wake up,
For looking and feeling your best.
Anyone who entered His place,
Has also rested from their tasks;
Because of God has shed His grace,
Calling upon prayer that one asks.
We must make every effort,
For entering that place of rest;
After a persistent alert,
Remember what God did invest.
Then no one will ever be lost,
Of those refusing to obey;
Forgetting what was the true cost,
By ever try going astray.
The Word of the Lord is living,
As well as with being active;
Justified also forgiving,
And unto you interactive.
It is sharper than a two-edge sword,
Slicing deep within heart and soul;
Cleaving your spirit from the Lord,
And blocking your heavenly goal.
God judges intentions and thoughts,
Not a single creature and hide;
He knows all of your evil plots,
All the times you do not abide.
All things uncovered and exposed,
That He sees and must answer to;
What our heart and mind enclosed,
Having a response that holds true.
So confidently to the throne,
We will find His mercy and grace;
Through your faith, you are not alone,
Christ defends you through His embrace.
