Praise God, Father of our Lord,
He has given us a new birth;
His mercy cannot be ignored,
A new life while here on earth.
New life that has a confidence,
Which is alive through Jesus Christ;
Came back to life as a defense,
Against when we become enticed.
A new life with inheritance,
That can never be corrupted;
As confession in penitence,
Can never be interrupted.
The inheritance waits for you,
Up in Heaven where it is kept;
As long as faith will remain true,
Christ as your Savior you accept.
You are guarded by His power,
Through the faith for your salvation;
Revealed at an unknown hour,
The end time as a foundation.
You are happy about these things,
Even though you have to suffer;
Different kinds of trouble it brings,
Knowing Jesus is your buffer.
Testing faith is for the trouble,
As fire tests genuine gold;
The weak will lie in the rubble,
While the real will shine so bold.
For your faith is far more precious,
And while it passes the test;
Gives praise and glory so wondrous,
Honor to God at its best.
Although you may have never seen,
Jesus Christ you give Him your love;
Because you believe what had been,
Knowing that He is up above.
The prophets carefully research,
Everything God does reveal;
Bringing salvation through His church,
Favoring God to His appeal.
