You are my God,
I long for you;
Always to laud,
Faithfully true.
My soul does thirst,
As hunger yearns;
Keeping You first,
As my heart learns.
I yearn for You,
Living on dry land;
Help me construe,
What You command.
In a refuge,
Seeing Your might;
I not refuse,
Be in Your sight.
Such loyal love,
My lips with praise;
All up above,
Through all my days.
I long to live,
As I proclaim;
Because You give,
Blessing my name.
I remember,
While in bed;
In my slumber,
Your thoughts are fed.
Your wings are joy,
Shield me from harm;
Those that destroy,
With misled charm.
My soul pursues,
Your guarding hand;
For Your virtues,
Help me to stand.
Enemies seek,
To destroy life;
But when You speak,
You rid the strife.
I lift my voice,
For they speak lies;
I made my choice,
You made me wise.
