Wisdom has built her home,
She carved it out of stone;
After coming from Rome,
Much wiser she has grown.
Carved out seven pillars,
Then she prepared her meat;
Mixed wine in her cellars,
Set the table to seat.
She sent out her maidens,
Calls to the high places;
Ears open she listens,
Comes for her embraces.
If naïve bring him here,
Lacking understanding;
They do not need to fear,
For the mind expanding.
Come and eat some good food,
Drinking of the best wine;
Be in a joyous mood,
Be happy as you dine.
Abandon foolish ways,
The manner that you live;
Start living all your days,
Cognitively active.
Mockers want to insult,
Evil want to abuse;
Coping is difficult,
Rationale for to choose.
Reprove not a mocker,
He will merely hate you;
With being a scoffer,
Even if you tell true.
Reprove a wise person,
They will be loving you;
That thoughts not worsen,
For what they should construe.
So, educate the wise,
That he will be wiser;
And to open their eyes,
Being an adviser.
Fear of the Lord will start,
Beginning with wisdom;
In both the mind and heart,
Knowledge of His Kingdom.
