I've been reminded of Christ Jesus' Word...
This, I'm sure, most Christians have heard.
But, in case we're reluctant or riddled with doubt,
We're told that the rocks would be honored to shout!
Some churches are corpses when related to praise...
They are cold and unyielding in most of their ways.
But churches were meant to give praise to the King
In words or in song, or Hallelujahs that ring
Like church bells resounding on a bright Sunday morn...
Telling the world that a Saviour is born!
Will we let a tree raise its limbs to the sky
And not lift our hands to the Father on high?
We should always sing praises to show Him we care!
We can't be outsung by the birds of the air!
And we can't let the mountains reach up in our place...
For we have been blessed with His Mercy and Grace.
So, what's wrong with shouting our joy to the Lord?
The rivers are doing it in rushing accord!
Nature will worship in its usual ways...
But mankind has voices intended to praise!
Some have let trust in religion stand in...
But religion has never forgiven one sin!
Only the Blood of the Lamb can do this!
And praise is the one thing our Lord won't resist!
So, ain't gonna let no rock cry out for me!
Ain't gonna let no bird, mountain, river, or tree!
I will worship my Lord with a heart filled with love
Sending up all my praise to the good God above.

Luke 19:37-40 King James Version (KJV)
37 And when he was come nigh, even now at
the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude
of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a
loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name
of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude
said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these
should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Zechariah 9:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter
of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just,
and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and
upon a colt the foal of an ass.
