Who has spoken and came to pass,
Unless the Lord commanded it;
Forgiving you of your trespass,
From performing wrongful merit.
Is not the mouth of the Most High,
Proceeds not evil but of good;
Giving comfort after you cry,
When things not going as they should.
Why should a living man complain,
A man being punished for sin;
Their argument has been in vain,
For not having the discipline.
Let us search and try our ways,
Turning back again to the Lord;
Stop in the direction that strays,
Never let His voice be ignored.
Let us lift up both heart and mind,
Our hands to God in Heaven;
Allow His Word to mold and bind,
Our thoughts what He has given.
We have transgressed also rebelled,
But the Lord has not forgiven;
Since confession has not expelled,
From desire that has driven.
You have been covered with anger,
Pursued with killing without pity;
Unmotivated by languor,
While pillaging the city.
You have wrapped yourself with a cloud,
So that no prayer should not pass through;
While passing over a crowd,
They are confused on what to do.
You have made us scum and garbage,
Trash in the midst of the people;
As we lost our heritage,
And being barred from the temple.
All our foes are against us,
As the enemy start to speak;
By spreading the rumors as thus,
For a victory that they seek.
Panic from the devastation,
Eyes run down rivers of water;
Cities burning in destruction,
Taking the life of the daughter.
