Prepare your minds for action,
And being sober-minded;
Not letting an infraction,
Cause to be earthly blinded.
Set your hope fully on grace,
Brought you to revelation;
For Jesus Christ will embrace,
As God gives you salvation.
An obedient child,
Conform not to the passion;
Of ignorance gone wild,
In an immoral fashion.
But He has called you holy,
Being holy in conduct;
In a manner as only,
The holy Scriptures instruct.
Because it is so written,
Each of you shall be holy;
Flesh desires forbidden,
Heavenly wishes solely.
For if you call upon Him,
Father judged impartially;
Of your deeds filled to the brim,
Godliness shown willfully.
Knowing that you were ransomed,
Came from the futile way;
Inherited that blossomed,
And allowing you to stray.
But the precious blood of Christ,
Like the lamb without blemish;
Was given to be sacrificed,
Because mankind was selfish.
Foreknown before foundation,
Of the world made manifest;
For our sake salvation,
The Word made flesh in the quest.
Through Him who are believers,
That God raised Him from the dead;
Faith and hope made receivers,
The body and blood has fed.
