Answer me when I call,
O God of righteousness;
Please catch me if I fall,
Give relief from distress.
Be gracious unto me,
Mercy for what I share;
Open my eyes to see,
Answer me in my prayer.
How long shall my honor,
To be turned into shame;
Humbled as a fawner,
Mocked what I proclaim.
How long vain words you love,
And to seek after lies;
Vanity not from above,
Tis Satan in disguise.
Know the Lord sets apart,
And He hears when you call;
Keeping Him in your heart,
So that you will not fall.
Be angry but sin not,
Ponder in your won heart;
Be silent as you ought,
To hear and not to thwart.
Offer the sacrifice,
In the Lord put your trust;
Letting Him to entice,
For He is fair and just.
There are many who say,
Who will show us some good;
If you trust and obey,
All will be understood.
Lift upon you His light,
Lift it up to your face;
He helps you to do right,
And bestowing His grace.
He puts joy in your heart,
Increase your grain and wine;
Giving you a new start,
To dwell in the divine.
